- [Instructor] If you do business in or with the United States, it's important to keep careful track of the country's economic trends. The Department of Commerce's Bureau of Economic Analysis gathers statistics relating to the US economy that let you gain useful insights into the state of personal and business economic health within the US. I have gone to the BEA's website and it is very conveniently bea.gov. The front page, as it appears when I visit, shows that there was a recent update showing Real Personal Income for States and Metropolitan Areas from 2017. And you can see the map on the right that indicates growth. If I scroll down we'll see other items. The Principal Economic Indicators with the most recent updates and also on the right side a Noteworthy section with individual news items. So for example, if we wanted to see the Updated Digital Economy Data I could click that Noteworthy item and as I scroll down you can see that there is information on what the BEA is doing to…
