- [Instructor] When it comes to building any AI project, the most important step is figuring out the logic that's going to go into that AI algorithm. So this starts with a few basic steps, just like what we did when we looked at this in Excel. To begin with we need to determine what our goal is, and then what's our constraints? That goal needs to be programmable, we can't just say we want to operate a great business, we need to determine how we're going to operate that great business. Is it by minimizing cost, maximizing profit, maximizing sales or sales growth, this needs to something that's objective and codable, needs to be something that an AI, a computer, can understand. Next we need something for the AI to make a decision based on, so we're going to have to set some sort of a time horizon and constraints. We're going to use historical data, and we're going to determine how the AI should act based on that. Going forward then, we're going to set a constraint for what the AI can…
