- [Voiceover] On this worksheet called Trendline in our chapter three file we're seeing data over in columns A and B, data covering a thirty month period. Then we got a line chart to the right. You can analyze the data in a variety of ways including some regression analysis techniques. We can add to this chart, what's called a trend line. By right clicking the line we can add a trend line, and immediately we see what's called a linear trend line, and also a dialogue box is automatically activated on the right format trend line. Now if you are familiar with regression techniques, you will know what exponential means. I'll show you an exponential line instead. Linear, logarithmic, polynomial, power. If you're not too familiar with those terms, you might be familiar with the term moving average.
