Adding text and numbers

- Well, in the previous movie we started this brand new, blank workbook, and now it's time to start adding data. Data can be one of three different things. It can be text, like we'd see in titles or labels. It could also be numbers, numbers that might be calculated in some form. And that brings us to the third type of data, which would be the formulas or functions that use those numbers. In this movie we're going to focus on the text and numbers in a worksheet, and we're going to start right up here in cell A1. You can click there if you're not already seeing A1 in the name box. Now, you'll notice that all of the columns in our worksheet are of equal width, and there's not much room here to type. But, watch what happens in cell A1 when we type in our title for our fictitious company Landon Hotels. We'll leave a space, a dash, and a space. We'll type in Revenues 2014, and in round brackets we'll put "in millions USD" US dollars, and that closing round bracket And press return or enter…
