Accentuate data with alignment tools
- [Voiceover] Excel has a number of different alignment tools and most of them are accessible from the alignment group on the home tab up in the ribbon. In this worksheet here, I'd like to center this title here, I'd also like to center the data in row two in the same way across these columns A through I. If you highlight both of these and try and use the merge and center button, you'll realize that you're about to wipe out the data in row two. Merging cells only keeps the upper left value and discards other value, so let's not do that. However, if we highlight these cells and then let go of the left mouse button and use the control key and highlight these, then we can merge and center properly. So that's simple and easy to get to. In this worksheet we might want to consider angling this text, we could certainly do that. We've got an alignment button here, the AB looks like this is what we want, but there's some other options too. Angle counter-clockwise is probably much much more…
