To copy a worksheet quickly, hold down the Ctrl key and drag a sheet tab to the left or right, letting go of the mouse before the Ctrl key. To copy or move a sheet to a different workbook (either an open workbook or a new workbook), right-click a sheet tab, select move or copy, and follow options for sheet placement.
- [Voiceover] Any time you need to move a worksheet…to a different location,…it's really simple,…we simply click and drag the sheet tab.…I wanna move the Sales sheet…to the right of Profits.…Sales is active…I click and drag,…rightward or leftward…in this case rightward…put it behind profits…let go of the mouse and there it is.…At a later time I might change my mind…I'll move it back again.…It can hardly be easier.…There could be times that I wanna…move more than one sheet.…Even though these sheets are empty,…sheets three through six.…
If I wanna select a whole cluster of sheets…Click sheet three,…with the Shift key held down,…I'll click sheet six…and I'll drug sheet three leftward,…and I'm actually moving…four sheets at once,…and put them to the left of Sales over here.…At other times, I might want to copy a sheet.…Maybe I wanna copy,…of this projected budget right here.…I like the numbers that I see here,…but I wanna run another set of number…similar to this,…but with different percentages here.…They control some of the numbers below it.…
