- [Instructor] Excel has any number of different techniques 2 for reducing the drudgery of data entry. 3 Can be pretty boring sometimes, we got to do it. 4 There are some techniques. 5 Here are five of them listed in column A, 6 we'll be covering these. 7 Pre-select an entry range. 8 I'm about to type in some numbers here, 9 I've got a sheet of paper in front of me. 10 It's going to be easier if I highlight these cells first. 11 And now as I type the entries here, 12 they're going to be numbers, 13 they don't have to be numbers, but they are in this case. 14 I type a number and press Enter. 15 And another number and press Enter, and so on. 16 And as I do this, as I'm approaching the bottom here, 17 I'm still pressing Enter. 18 And look what happens, automatically, 19 Excel repositions the active cell 20 at the top of the next column. 21 And I could complete that column too. 22 And you guess that as soon as I come…
