Sort left-to-right columns
- [Instructor] From time to time, you could run into a situation where you want to sort not by rearranging data in rows, but by rearranging actual columns within a worksheet. In this worksheet called ColumnSort, we'd like to move these columns to make them alphabetical based on the data that we see in row one. In other words, we'd like the Atlanta column, currently in column M to be moved over into column B. Now, we can either highlight the data in just these columns. Now, we're not going to be changing column A at all. It will remain unchanged. But, we can either highlight the columns B through M or we could highlight the data from B1 over to M and down to the depth of the data which goes right here. So, either way will work. Then, after going to the data tab, we must choose the larger of the sort buttons, the A Z sort button and, although not obvious at first, when we come to this dialogue box, we go to options.
