- [Instructor] In this worksheet called CustomLists in our chapter one file, let's imagine that we might want to sort this list based on status in column F. There are four kinds of status: full time, half time, contract, and hourly. If we click in column F in any cell, not clicking the column letter, but any cell within column F, we can quickly rearrange this data by going to the data tab and clicking AZ. And Excel does its job. The contract people come first. Alphabetically that precedes the next status that we see in the list, full time, and then much much later in the list here, the biggest cluster by far is for full time people, after full time then we see in the list half time. And then finally hourly. Now you could easily imagine someone wanting to say well let's put the full time people first. They run the company, they in a certain sense are more important than the others. So why can't we get the full time people first? Could we do a ZA sort? Well we could try that, and what…
