Use NETWORKDAYS to tabulate the number of days between a starting date and an ending date while ignoring weekend dates. Also, you can cross-reference a list of holidays and have them not be included in the calculation. The companion function NETWORKDAYS.INTL provides options for different weekend days.
- [voiceover] This worksheet is called NET WORK DAYS.…Now, possibly you might have pronounced it differently…network days, but it really has to do with work days.…So, no matter how you pronounce it, though,…it's a viable function, and we want to…calculate the number of working days…between these different projects here…where we've got a starting date and an ending date.…Now, a simple subtraction of the cells…does give us some time difference,…but that's all days, including weekends and holidays.…So, a simple subtraction here,…of later date minus the earlier date,…that gives us the value 126.…
I'm gonna move that off to the right,…just so we can remember it for a bit,…but how many working days are there?…Let's not count those weekend days,…the Saturdays and Sundays.…Equal NETWORKDAYS, as soon as we see that…in our list here click it, and we begin with…the starting date, comma and an ending date.…It does have an option for holidays.…I've got some of those listed over in column F…for the moment I will ignore them.…
