There's no function for counting the number of unique entries within a selected range, but an array formula like the following can count the unique entries for the range B2:B400. =SUM(1/COUNTIF(B2:B400,B2:B400))} Do not type the curly braces; you must complete the entry by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
