- [Instructor] If you're using Excel standard filter and it has been applied to this list here that starts in row seven, there are lots of options under date. Under chose one you can see all the many variations that occur here. And furthermore if we slide all the way to the bottom all dates and the period. And then chose one off to the right, months and quarters. What we don't see though is day of the week and that could be important in certain kinds of data. Let's imagine the data we're looking at here covers data over a two year period, we might want to analyze sales by day of the week. Let's clear the filter from the data tab, simply clear. You can use the advanced filter even if the regular filter is in place. It's probably best though just to avoid confusion. Let's remove the filter from the data here. Click the filter button.
