Advanced Filter for complex OR criteria
- [Instructor] In addition to Excel's filtering capability, found on the Data tab with the Filter button, you will also notice, to the right, Advanced Filter. And this is for certain kinds of situations that you cannot get to with the regular filter. And there are a couple of different approaches to it. We're looking at a worksheet called Complex OR, and that more or less describes what we're about to do. We're in the file called Chapter 3. We'd like to come up with a list that shows all the people who have been here over 15 years or they have a compensation amount of over 80,000. You might have seen in a previous movie how we could, using the regular filter, come up with the results that show when both conditions are true, but we're looking for when either condition is true. So, for example, the person in Row 4 here doesn't have 15 years of service, in fact, has only three, but certainly has more than 80,000 in terms of compensation.
