- [Voiceover] Welcome to Infographics, Area Bubbles. I'm Shane Snow and I'm obsessed with infographics. I'm an Advisor to the Infographics Firm, and I've been designing infographics for the last five years. In this course, we're going to cover the principles behind area charts, a very common type of infographic of which area bubbles are one example. Then, we're going to get our hands dirty with real data and calculate formulas and we'll use those calculations to re-create a very cool infographic about brands on Facebook.

We'll also get to talk about how to get creative with the shapes you use for your area charts. And, how to bring your entire infographic design together, adding exciting details to make it your own. This course is part of series on the fundamentals of infographic design and when you're done, you'll have a solid foundation for how to approach your own area visualizations. Well, our infographics aren't going to make themselves, so, let's get to it.
