- SocialBro is a powerful tool if you're conducting a lot of marketing on Twitter. This tool is unique in that it provides you with more depth than the standard Twitter interface. SocialBro has four main features: targeting, engagement, analytics, and management. With their targeting platform, you'll be able to identify opportunities. You can then monitor Twitter for hash tags and conversations about your brand or even your competitors. One of my favorite features with SocialBro is the ability to analyze your followers to determine the best time to tweet.
It'll look at the activity history of your Twitter base, and give you a frequency and time range to have the maximum impact. Remember, with Twitter timing is important, and this is so your message doesn't get buried in your followers timeline. Beyond all of those features, you can run reports and identify influencers as well as add new efficiencies to how you follow others and manage your lists. To get started, let's first take a look at the pricing plans and you'll find those in the 'Plans and Pricing' options here on SocialBro.com. You'll notice they have a free forever plan, which is a great starting point, and from there the prices aren't too bad.
The next plan is $13.95 a month, $39, and so on. To get started, you'll select the plan that makes sense to you, and sign up. Now, it takes SocialBro a few hours to collect enough data to provide you with accurate insights, so I went ahead and set up an account earlier, so I'm going to go ahead and log in with those credentials by choosing 'Sign In' in the upper right hand corner. I'll enter in my email and password and choose 'Sign In'. Now, once you're on the dashboard, the first thing you'll see here on the left hand side is your connected account. If you wanted to add more Twitter accounts, you can choose 'Add an owned account', just to the right of that.
As you scroll down the page, you'll have the option to add third party Twitter accounts. Say, a competitor, which gives you the ability to conduct some additional research. As I scroll down more, you'll see that we can add key words to conduct searches for on Twitter, say a hash tag, or a brand name. There's additional features if you keep on scrolling, but let's stick with the basics and go back up to the account we've established. So, if we want to go to the dashboard for our @HPlusSport account, I'll select that option. Here, we can see at a glance information about this account. We can see our followers, our follower growth, and how many we're following, and what that growth looks like as well.
Now, this account doesn't have a lot of activity, so we're not seeing a ton of information, but if you have a fairly active Twitter account, you'll see lots of valuable insights, and you'll see as I scroll down, there's a ton of information available here. Everything from cred score to gender to inactive people; even famous people. Now, one of my favorite features is available here at the top if you click the 'Analytics' drop down and choose 'Best time to tweet'. Here you'll need to click the 'Generate The Best Time to Tweet Report' and give it a title.
Next, we'll choose 'Create'. I'll choose 'OK' and once the report is ready, I'll choose 'View Report' here on the left hand side of the screen. So, it's on this page that we get a few views. Now, this section here towards the bottom of the screen says, "Your best time to tweet in the next 24 hours is today 'at 16:00 Hours" "The next time to tweet during the week 'is Monday at 02:00 Hours." And we can even see what our followers are talking about and links that they're sharing. If we scroll down, we can see a circle graph that shows the frequencies when we have the most followers online.
Here we can see that Tuesday we've got 100% of our followers online at 8am. Now again, we don't have very many followers on this account, so this data is less valuable than what you'll get when you add your Twitter account. Scrolling down, we can see online followers by the hour or even by the day of week. Now again, if you have more followers, the actual frequency and data will be a lot more meaningful and easy to understand. You can also look at the engagement view and the target view to see other additional options that SocialBro has for you.
At anytime you can go to the tweets editor in the upper right hand corner and submit a tweet. At it's core, SocialBro is worth a free sign up. I'd recommend at least grabbing the best time to tweet report and then using that information to configure buffer.
