Finding photos in the Timeline

Another way to find photos by date in the Organizer is by Timeline. To show you the Timeline, I'm going to go the Display menu and change back to the default Thumbnail view of the Photo Browser. Then I'll go over to the Window menu and I'm going to enable the Timeline and there it is at the top of the screen. The Timeline is what it says, a Timeline update. It is showing the period from 2005 on the left to 2008 on the right, and these vertical bars here and there in the Timeline represent months in which photographs were taken that are in the Photo Browser.

This comes in really handy, when you have a general idea of a date on which you took a photo, but you are not exactly sure what the date was. So for example, I know wiggly that I was in Santa Fe in the winter of 2005. So if were looking for photos from that trip, I would come over here in the Timeline, click on one of these bars March 2005 or February 2005, and see what photos were there.
