Editing text

Text that's created with the Horizontal or the Vertical Type tools in Elements is always editable, as long as the type layer is left as a type layer in the Layers panel. The text in this image is on the 'Howdy from Denver, Colorado' type layer here in the Layers panel. To edit this text I need to do two things, make sure that layer is selected in the Layers panel and then go to the toolbar and select one of the Type tools. I'll select the Horizontal Type tool. Now I can go up to the Options bar for the Horizontal Type tool and change things about this text.

So let's say I want to use a different font. I'll click the arrow to the right of the Font field and then I'm going to go all the way down and choose another font. I'll try Verdana and that changes the font of the text. I can change the Style of the text, try Italic, or maybe Bold, or both. I can change the Font Size.
