- [Instructor] We'll be using a pair of tools for this course to handle our sandbox environment. Those are Vagrant and VirtualBox. VirtualBox is a free virtualization tool that lets us run the VM that will host the Elastic Stack and the simulated application stack that we're going to monitor. You can find VirtualBox at virtualbox.org. Just download and install it. Vagrant is a tool that makes working with the VM much simpler and it's also free. All of the setup for our VM has been defined in a Vagrant file text file and that's included in your exercise files. For the sake of time, I won't go through a step-by-step of how to install these tools. If you need more detail on that, you should be able to find what you need in the LinkedIn library. If you run into any issues, I'd recommend first just searching Google for the error message you got. Sometimes that will lead you to a step-by-step guide of how to fix that exact problem.
