Put the "tech" into your teaching. Learn how to use technology to enhance course design, lesson planning, presentations, in-class activities, assessments, and student achievement and engagement.
- Hi, I'm Kevin Kelly. I'll be your guide through Foundations of Teaching with Technology. As the title implies, we'll look at how to integrate technology into an education activity module or class. I know everyone who participates in this course has a different amount of experience with teaching, technology, or both. So whether you're a novice or a veteran, I've got something for you. We'll begin by look at how our learning outcomes and Universal Design for Learning principals support using technology for leaning and teaching.
Then, we'll investigate strategies in three core areas of instruction. One, we'll use technology to find, create, and share instructional materials and resources with students. Two, we'll use technology to facilitate in class and virtual activities. And three, we'll use technology to assess learning and teaching in and out of the classroom. I've been teach K-12 and higher education instructors to integrate technology into their courses for almost 15 years.
I hope you're as excited as I am to try some of the tools and tips I've picked up along the way. Now let's start teaching with technology.
