Recording your screen

- When I think of a fundamental technology for blended learning, screen recording is at the top of my list. It's a transformative technology that enables us to share our screen, our creations, our ideas without the normal constraints of time and space. In a blended course, you can use screen recording to teach or review a concept, document a process, take your own dynamic notes, grade papers or media projects, record mobile devices, have students record reflections on their work showing how and why took a particular action. To record your screen, you need a screen recording application, and there are dozens of these for Mac, Windows, and even some that run directly in a web browser. However, they all work generally about the same. Look for the preferences or settings for your screen recorder, and then find the options that allow you to set what part of your screen to record, the frame rate to capture at, and what size to save the recordings as.
