In a blended course, we want to design our courses…to encourage the students to more fully invest…in ownership of their own learning.…And lean on the teacher more like a knowledgeable neighbor…to go to for guidance when stuck trying to solve a problem.…To do this we need to rethink the kind and context…of assignments that we're giving to our students.…Moving away from task based assignments…and towards authentic projects that ignite…internal passions of the students…and allowing them to have a stronger sense of ownership…
