Creating categories
- When we created our site map, we determined that we were going to need the following course categories. Think of categories as a way to organize the flow of information, or posts, into our site. Think of each category that we create as a major river of information that's flowing into our site. We determine that we were going to need a main category, or the primary river, and we're going to use the ENV432 category for that. Then we're going to need a News category, and we're going to flow that information into the featured items section on our homepage. We're going to need a parent category called Units that's going to have information that the instructors can use to flow information out to the students related to each separate unit. We're also going to be syndicating content that's coming in from our various different types of users. Our instructors, our students, and our open participants: we'll need streams for each of those.
