Connecting to an LMS

- Teaching on the open web with WordPress opens many opportunities for us. But it also presents us with the challenge of what to do with the business of our courses that must remain behind locked doors. Grades and assessment are two prime examples of things that should never, ever, be published on the open web. Lucky for us, most schools have already invested heavily in learning management systems to fill this need of a secure online location for students and teachers to exchange information. All we need to do to take advantage of this infrastructure is to create a link from your WordPress site to your campus learning management system. So simply go and navigate to your campus learning management system. At StateU, ours is located at learn.stateu.org. Then, copy the URL. We'll go back to our site, and go back into our Appearance, Menus section, and now we'll create a custom link. We'll paste the URL that we just copied, and then we'll title the link with whatever your campus brands…
