Using word clouds to inspire critical thinking

- Lately, there has been an increased emphasis on literacy in the content area and on the development of critical thinking skills. So how can we make this fun in our classroom? I think one answer is using word clouds. In the previous video, we learned how to create word clouds. This an example of a word cloud of Martin Luther King. You'll notice that the words "Martin", "Luther" and "King" have been removed. I feel that if they're part of the title, they don't need to be included within the word cloud. Now, I'm going to show you a word cloud I created about another famous person. I will then give you five seconds to try to figure out who it is. See if you can figure out who this word cloud is about. This word cloud is about George Washington. Now, I'm going to show you another word cloud that I created. This one's about a place.
