Successfully implementing technology in your classroom can transform the amount of learning taking place, while helping your students develop important skills they'll need to be successful in the digital age. I'm Oliver Shankton, and for this weeks Teacher Tech Tip I want to introduce you to the SAMR model, developed by Dr Ruben Puentedura. The purpose of this model is to illustrate the different levels of technology integration, into the classroom. These days, there's a lot of educational technology out there, but one of the critical roles of the teacher is to be able to distinguish between the gimmicky gadgets, and the actual game changers. Now this is a visual representation of the model, and as you can see SAMR is an acronym for the four different levels, which are; Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition.
