- Okay, so let's talk about sequences. These are another one of those concepts that tend to confuse people with their notation. So like functions, sequences often have a really abstract instruction then you can apply to concrete numbers. So in this video, we'll look at a couple of examples. So, a lot of times what a sequence will look like would be something like this. I'm just going to make one up. Let's say a of n equals a of n minus one plus two. What this means is that the number of the term is n. The first term in the sequence would be a1. The second term in the sequence would be a2. Those numbers just signify what number term it is. We're counting first term, second term. The value of the term is something different. Let me show you that. Let's say that in this sequence instruction here, the second term-- Let's call it a2 again.
