Scaling and reframing media
- [Instructor] I'm going to show you how to take advantage of scaling and reframing your media to make things more interesting and even create the illusion of multiple cameras. First off, I want to point out my project settings. I'm going to right click the canvas and choose Project Settings. And you can see I have the default settings of 1920 by 1080. You can call that 2K if you prefer. However, my talking head video clips were shot in 4K which is 3840 by 2160 pixels. I'm going to close that out. Now what this means is my video clips are a much higher resolution than my canvas. Double in fact. If I select a clip, and then check out the Properties panel, you can see that it's showing the scale of my video clip as 50%. Since my video clip is shot in 4K and my canvas is only 2K, Camtasia has autoscaled my image to 50% so it fits on the canvas. This gives me some cool creative options. If I want to, I can scale this clip up and create a new look. I'm going to select the clip. Scale it up…
