- [Instructor] So one of the more important concepts associated with percents is percent change. In this video we'll not only talk about how to handle percent change questions, but also how to decipher their wording. So let's say I said, today's high temperature, today's high temperature was 60 degrees Fahrenheit, 60 degrees. And then yesterday, yesterday's high temperature was 50 degrees. And somebody asked me the question, well, what was the percent change from yesterday to today? So we have a little formula for this. Percent change is the difference between the two amounts divided by the original times 100. So let's think about how this plays out here. The difference between the two amounts would be 10. And then the original amount is yesterday because it came first. So we would just do 10 divided by 50 times 100 to figure out the percent change. 10 divided by 50 is the same thing as one divided by five, which is .2 times 100, move the decimal place two to the right and we get 20%.…
