Organizing media

- As you add media to your project, things can start to get a bit cluttered. I like to keep things relatively organized. It saves time and, more importantly for me, cuts down on editing frustration. One way to go about this is to rename files. If one of my files has a long, ridiculous name, or just doesn't really make any sense in the context of my project, I can rename it to anything I want. For example, this image right here, 007. That doesn't mean anything to me, so if I right click the image, and choose rename, I can name it something that makes sense, like Mike. Now additionally, I can view my items in the media bin either in icon mode like I have here, or if I click right here, I can see them in list view. Let me extend that so you can see my full list. Now I can sort these either by type, or by the name, or even duration. Now sometimes I'll import media to the media bin, but end up not using it on the timeline. So to clean up unneeded files, I can just right click in the media…
