Cropping and masking
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at cropping and masking. We're going to start with cropping since you may already be familiar with that concept. Cropping is just cutting off the edges of something. For example, I don't want the top section of this screen capture in my video, so I can crop it. I'm going to select the clip. Now I'm going to go up here and make sure the crop tool is selected. It's this boxy, square-looking thing here and you'll know your clip is enabled because it now has this blue line all around it. Now, to crop, I can just grab these lines, pull it down, and crop my clip. I can do the top. I could do the sides if I wanted to or even the bottom. For this one, I just want the top. Now, that looks a little funny, I need to resize and reframe that, so I'm going to disable the crop tool, click the arrow here, and then I'm going to scale this up to fill the frame. And I can even reposition it if I want to, like so. Now cropping is non-destructive editing. It's not really…
