- [Instructor] If you choose to let your video host create a thumbnail for you, odds are you're going to end up with a less than flattering image pretty much ensuring that anyone who clicks on it will be doing so solely in the spirit of mockery. So, instead, I'm going to show you how to create a custom thumbnail for your video right here in Camtasia. Let's start with the simple method. I'm going to scrub through my timeline and find a frame that sort of sums up my story here. I think right about here with my bumper works pretty well. That would make a very decent thumbnail, okay? So next, I need to export that frame as an image. I'm going to go up here to Share, Export Frame As. Now I want to name it something sensible. Let's go with Five Things Thumb. And be sure you're browsing to your working folder. In my case, I'm already there. And click Save. Now I've just created a custom thumbnail that I can upload to YouTube.
