- [Jen] Methods for building websites without code have exploded in the last few years. Tools like Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, Carrd, Pori, and Softer allow us to build websites without having to know HTML and CSS. However, they may have limited customizations for layouts of pages and integration of alternate technologies. This is a typical trade off made to make site builders easier to use. Many graphic designers and enterprises want what they want when it comes to interface design. They are unwilling to compromise in any way in how the website looks, wanting to tweak the look of the website to make it pixel perfect. At the same time, these visually oriented professionals want a visual interface for tweaking these sites without having to get into the code. If that sounds like you, then Editor X is a great place to start. Editor X offers the ability to make a customized website without writing any code or worrying about security updates. And that's a pretty cool thing for many agencies, firms and freelancers. In this course, we'll create a simple Editor X site from scratch. You'll learn how to set up headers and footers that are centrally managed in your site. Configure sections of your page with pre-configured elements, configure your own section layouts and elements and configure centrally managed colors and type. You'll be challenged to build your own pages from the elements I've given you and I'll walk through my approach to those challenges with you. I'm Jen Kramer. I'm a freelancer for over 20 years who moved from Dreamweaver to Joomla and WordPress and who was pretty excited about the world of no code. So if you're ready, let's get started with Learning Editor X.
