- [Instructor] In this section, we'll take a look at why customers should approach a cloud-first approach. Now that we've talked about the history of the SAP Cloud Platform, let's talk about why go cloud at all? Essentially, this conversation boils down to the following four areas, enhancements and upgrades, innovation, time to value, and overhead maintenance. Traditionally, enhancements and upgrades, with on-premise software, consumes an enormous amount of time, people, and money, let alone the downtime the business must face during the upgrades and testing. With the SAP Cloud Platform, the enhancements and upgrades are done for you, without disruption to your environment, and with minimal testing, if any.
