- [Instructor] So what are some of the use cases for role-based permissions when it comes to our little subsection of known roles. Well they seem quite obvious, but we just want to differentiate between them there. So from an employee perspective we determine the level of self-service the employee will have to their own data and to other's data as well. So we need to specify how much self-service we want to have available, and we govern that via role-based permissions. And then furthermore, we determine as well what the level of self-service for managers will be in the system, looking at what they can do for the direct reports in their team. And that can be determined on certain levels as well. Is it only direct reports, or is it indirect reports three levels down within the org structure as well? And then any other list of custom roles we want to create in the solution to actually support our HR business processes will determine the level of access that those roles will have to data…
