Format and layout a report
- You've made a report. It's time to make it look a lot better with some formatting. I often do this in preview mode. Click the zoom to page width so you can see everything. Now you format everything with the format button, which is up here. Take a look at the dates, for example. They're date times. So they have time information we don't need. Click a date in the due date column, and the whole column highlights. And the item selected has a box around it. In the tool bar, click the format button. You'll get the format editor, which has several tabs but for now, I'm interested in the Date and Time tab, which, in this case, showed up for us. We can pick our date format. I'm going to pick the 03/01/1999 that we've been using before. And click OK. And the date changes. I want the release date to be the same format as the due date.
