- [Instructor] We saw in SQL, there were functions in case that handled logic and data manipulation. In Crystal Reports, you make your own functions which we call formulas. Let's add a few formulas to the production order. So go over and click the production order report, so we go back to that tab, and just to make sure something here is readable, I'm going to go up here to file, options, go to formula editor, and I'm going to change this text option here to 18 so you can read the code as I'm writing it and click okay, and if the field explorer isn't open, open it up, and we're going to look here at formula fields. And once you select it, there's a button right above it for new, so click that, and you get a formula name, and I'm going to call this status name and click okay. And so now you've named it.
