Setting up the Excel file: Levels - Dynamo Studio Tutorial
From the course: Dynamo for Revit Project Setup
Setting up the Excel file: Levels
- [Instructor] As we saw before, Dynamo only needs very specific pieces of information to create many of the elements that we need at the very beginning of a Revit project. In the next few videos, we're going to create an Excel file that should serve as a form that you or a member of your project team can fill out with this information. Once the Excel file is completed, Dynamo can read it and convert it into the Revit file that the team will use to begin their project. If you have access to the exercise files for this course, you'll see in the subfolder named Excel that I've provided a template file called ProjectStartup_Template that you can use as a starting point. I'll double-click on it to open it up now. In this Excel file, we're going to fill out information about several different kinds of Revit elements for Dynamo to create. So to keep them all organized, we'll fill in the information about each different type of Revit element in a different worksheet of the same Excel file…
