- [Instructor] As you continue through this course, you might notice that the way lists appear in node previews might not match the way that they look in your Dynamo session. That's because this course was originally recorded using Dynamo version 0.9, and since that time Autodesk released a new version of Dynamo, version one, with some minor changes, particularly to make it easier to understand and work with data organized in lists. These changes won't affect the way that any of the nodes we work with in the course run and shouldn't impact your ability to follow along. In version 0.9, list indices were represented as a number within square brackets rather than inside a gray rectangle like we see in version one.
For the remaining videos in this course, you'll see indices shown in brackets. But if you place all the same nodes that I do onscreen and you wire them together in the same way, the data that I'm working with onscreen will be exactly the same as what you're working with in version one. You might also have noticed that in the bottom left-hand corner of your node previews, you see @L2 and @L1. We're going to talk about what those mean in a future video. You'll also see in version one in the bottom right hand corner of the node preview, you're seeing a red number in curly brackets.
That number represents the total length of your list or the number of items that you're working with in your list. There are a couple other changes that were introduced in version one that we're going to cover later on in this chapter, but for now just know that you should expect to see version 0.9 onscreen for the most part.
