- [Instructor] By default, views are sorted by the first letter in the record, so with Contacts, that means that the lists are sorted by first name. When we're talking about sorting records, let's just first start by clicking on the column names. See how if I click on Full Name, I can have it sort by descending order, instead of ascending order. Same thing with Email, or Company Name, for example, if I wanted to see all my company names together. Again, click it once, you get ascending, click it a second time, you would get descending. It just toggles off and on. So let's mix and match this stuff a little bit. So notice how I've got my Active Contacts view here. I can use a view that already exists, like literally My Active Contacts. And then I can use a column sort just by clicking on it to group all of my active contacts by their company. So if I want to do something fancy like filter by date range, I actually need to be in a view that has a date. And so let's move over into…
