Environments: The basics

- [Teacher] We're going to talk about environments and the Common Data Service for apps. The first we need to know about and the second it's nice to understand a little bit about. An environment is a container that is used to hold business data and flows and apps that relate to that data. Your organization may have one environment or it may have many environments. You'll know what environments you have by looking at flow or PowerApps. For example, here in Microsoft flow, when I click the icon for my account I can see I have access to three environments, and if I go to PowerApps I'll have access to the same environments because I'm logged in as the same person in all of these places. I'll also know a little bit about environments by going to dynamics 365 home and looking at an application like sales, lives in the KinetEco environment, but AccountsDemoApp lives in the PowerApps demo environment, and Asset Inventory is in the KinetEco default environment.
