Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Connect Sales Navigator to Dynamics 365, part of Dynamics 365: Set Up the LinkedIn Sales Navigator Integration.
- [Instructor] The work of enabling Sales Navigator Sync with Microsoft Dynamics is done in Sales Navigator. Log in to Sales Navigator and if you have appropriate permissions, you'll notice that you have an admin choice on your menu. You can choose admin settings. Second section is CRM Settings, and there's a big blue button here, Connect to CRM. It asks which CRM system you'd like to connect to. We want to connect to Microsoft Dynamics and it says enter your company's Dynamics Online subdomain.
Remember all we need is the company name part in the model where it says your domain. And it will fill it in. And this should be the URL that you used to login to Dynamics. If you're not sure, slide over to Microsoft Dynamics in your browser and take a look. Click Continue and you will be asked to login even if you are already logged in.
You'll get a message that says the webpage you are viewing is trying to close the tab. Do you want to close it? Say yes and if it comes back and it says connect to CRM, I would encourage you simply to try it a second time because when it is successfully synced, you will see last sync date which would be today and a choice for two options. Do you want to autosync all seat holders with CRM? That's turned on by default and enable right back no by default. Now what happens if this didn't work? First if it simply acts like it ignored you and it still has a choice to connect to CRM, I would encourage you to hit it again.
If not you might get an error message. For example, you might have an error message that says you don't have sufficient access privileges. In that case go ahead and talk to your Microsoft Dynamics Administrator. You might have an error that says you can't connect to your CRM. You could try again or you could talk to your Dynamics Administrator if that's not you. And finally if you setup an API key, you could have an error with your API access in which case you'll need to check again with Microsoft Dynamics.
We're setting this up in LinkedIn Sales Navigator but all the choices here are on the Microsoft side of the house. However, this is what success looks like when our installation works and our connection works. There are a few settings we might want to tweak and we'll talk about them in the next movie.
