- [Voiceover] The last step to install Drupal…is to open your web browser,…and run the program that Drupal itself provides.…It's a pretty easy process on Dev Desktop,…which takes care of some of the steps itself.…To get started,…open up Dev Desktop where you've previously installed…the files and database,…and click local site.…You then simply walk through the installation.…I'm going to install in English.…For the database name and user…it's already all filled in.…So just click save and continue.…
You'll notice that there's no password for the database,…which is insecure,…but again this is only for your production machine.…You would never launch a site…without a database password.…If all goes well,…you'll end up at this configure site screen.…So now, we simply fill it out.…I'm going to give this site the name Drupal 8.…I'll be changing that later in the course.…For site email address,…I'm going to say admin@example.com,…which is a fake email address.…By the way,…if you ever want to give a fake email address,…use example.com,…
