- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk to you about modules. Modules in Drupal add features. If you want your Drupal site to do X, well then, there's probably a module for that. In the Drupal ecosystem, there are three kinds of modules. Core, the ones that come with Drupal. Contributed, the ones you can find at drupal.org that people from all over the world have created and uploaded. And then finally, custom. Custom modules are beyond the scope of this course, but generally speaking, custom modules are required when either core or contributed can't get the job done for you. When you first install Drupal, you'll see a whole set of modules. Some are turned on, some are left off. So if you wanted a form, well, you just put a check mark in there, scroll down, and click Install. So these are considered core modules and they add all kinds of functionality to your Drupal site like a date field, a file field, an image…
