Creating Drupal's MySQL database
As I mentioned in the videos about uploading Drupal using SFTP and SSH, server configurations vary a lot, and that's true of database configurations as well. In this video, I'll show you two ways to create Drupal's database. The first uses a very common database program called phpMyAdmin, which you see right here on the screen. The second method uses the UNIX or Linux command line, which is quite a bit trickier. Both of these require that your Internet service provider has given you access to certain tools. If you have problems making any of this work, I'm afraid you'll have to talk with them; I won't be able to help you. It might be that you don't have access, or it's possible that they have set up a different procedure for you to make these things happen. So here we are on the phpMyAdmin screen.
