Previewing the finished project

Before we get started, I want to give you a sense of what we're going to finish up with. That will give you some inspiration to keep you going, and also point out some things that you can do with Drupal Gardens as you go along. Through this course, we're going to design a site that encourages people to visit California and go on some tour packages. We have our own custom design here, which has a graphic up here and a faded graphic down here, as well as our own custom logo here. As you might guess, these links go to different parts of the site, including some that are dynamic.

So instead of being just a single page with one piece of information, it's a list of blog posts and a list of news items and so forth. This list down here shows a collection of all of the tours that we're offering, including those translations that we've done of tour descriptions such as this one in Esperanto. When we go to that, we can in fact switch between the English and the Esperanto version very easily just with a click. Again, this is all done with Drupal Gardens very easily. We allow people to provide feedback to us both through this little link here and through the Contact link here.

Finally, we provide picture galleries, so people get an idea of what exactly they're going to be seeing. Those galleries not only have pictures, but also movies which come from YouTube. So, that's our site. We're going to be going through and putting in each one of these pieces as we go through the course. It may seem like a lot now, but as we take it piece by piece, you'll find it a very simple process.
