Working with snippets

As you start working more and more with the code in {italic}Dreamweaver,{plain} you might find yourself using the same code over and over again on different pages, and typing the same code over and over again can be kind of tedious. Fortunately, {italic}Dreamweaver{plain} offers a way to save all those useful bits of code that you use every day as what are called Snippets. These are pieces of code, whether they're XHTML code, JavaScript, CSS, you name it, that you can add to your documents with the click of a button. {italic}Dreamweaver {plain}comes complete with its own set of predefined Snippets, and you can even create your own. In this exercise we'll take a look at how to add one of the predefined Code Snippets to your page, and also how to add you own Snippets to {italic}Dreamweaver.{plain} I'm going to come in here to the "About Us: Our Goal" text.
