Linking to named anchors in external files

Linking to a point within the same file using named anchors is extremely helpful in negotiating large amounts of data, or moving quickly to important information. It stands to reason, then, that one would also want the ability to jump to that specific information from other pages as well. Well, luckily for us, linking to named anchors on other pages is just as simple as using named anchors within a single page. So here I have opened the faq.htm and the tour_detail_backpack.htm. Now I've got both of those open.

The default view for multiple documents open in Dreamweaver is to open up in these tabs. That's nice, because you can tab back and forth between them. But for the technique I'm going to show you guys, it's really helpful for us to be able to see these at the same time. So I'm going to go up to Window and choose Tile Vertically.
