…We're living in a day and age where we're dealing with multiple screens.…So we don't have the luxury of just worrying about whether this…looks good on a desktop.…We need to worry about tablet devices, mobile devices, and…like everything in between.…Well what does that mean for us?…Does that mean we have to make multiple websites?…Well, not necessarily.…In fact, you don't have to,…because with media queries, what you can do is you can query the device.…Determine the size, and then modify the CSS properties so…the content looks great and it's formatted appropriately for that device.…
It's very powerful.…And, in fact, a Dreamweaver makes this easy,…because what we can do is we can select Design View.…I'm in Live View as well, but check this out.…Right down here, I can see what this looks like on a desktop size.…Okay, and you can see it's pretty large, and it looks pretty good.…I can select the tablet size, which is 768 by 1024.…Again, it's just one tablet size.…It's really the average.…And I'd say, the content even looks better on a tablet.…
Author Paul Trani begins with brief introductions to HTML and CSS. Then you'll learn how to create a basic webpage, add text and images, and style the content with CSS. Paul then shows how to add navigation and links between pages, integrate video and social media (such as a Twitter feed), and create a contact form. The course also covers making sure your layout is "flexible" (i.e., that it resizes to fit mobile devices), testing your site, and uploading it to the web.
