Join Chris Converse for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding a dropdown navigation menu, part of Creating an Interactive Map with jQuery and Dreamweaver.
Now we are going to add a dropdown menu into our interactive map. I'm going to click…my cursor inside of this div to make sure my insertion point is inside of the map_container div.…I can also see that in the lower left-hand area of the document structure here;…div.map container is where my insertion point is.…Now up in the Insert panel let's switch over to Forms and let's come over here…and select the Select (List/menu) item.…When I click on this I'll be asked for the name of the Select List item.…Let's call it continent. Let's click OK.…
Dreamweaver will next ask if we want to add a form tag. Choose Yes.…Now the dialog box goes away, the form element will be selected, and in the…Properties panel here I can see that Dreamweaver has named this form 1.…Let's rename that mapForm with a capital F. Hit Tab to make the selection stick.…Now let's come up here into the document and let's click on and select the…dropdown menu itself.…We'll see down here the continent label that we gave that in the dialog box.…
