- Once again, we're staying in our 05_BeingAccurate.dwg file, 05_BeingAccurate.dwg file, and once again we're back in the same spot where we were in the previous video. Now what we're going to look at now is part of our being accurate in DraftSight's tools is the ortho setting. is the ortho setting. Now, ortho is short for orthogonal. Now, ortho is short for orthoganal, and basically, it ties into two drawing methods known as first angle and third angle projection, which I won't bore you with right now, but the idea being you project lines horizontally and vertically only, in order to generate different views of an object, so you might want a front view, a side view, a plan view, and so on. Now the benefit of the ortho setting down on the status bar in DraftSight means is if you switch it on, it means you can only draw horizontally and vertically. It just kind of ties you down.
